LATE FINISH LEADS 10-MAN UKRAINE UNITED TO 3-1 WIN OVER HAMILTON CITY


FC Ukraine United scored twice in the final 9 minutes to take a 3-1 win over Hamilton City Saturday evening in Canadian Soccer League action.

United’s Ivan Kucherenko opened the scoring against Hamilton City at the Heritage Field in Hamilton, finding the net past goalkeeper Stefan Avramovic at the 41 minute mark for a 1-0 lead at the interval.

Vukasin Kovacevic leveled the score 1-1 for Hamilton at 75 minutes and Ukraine regained the lead on a goal by Ihor Malysh six minutes later.

Ukraine’s Vasyl Chornyi was ejected following a second caution midway through the second half, but Ukraine United went further ahead for a 3-1 lead at the 91 minute, a goal by Nazar Milishchuk and the score held to the final whistle.

FC Ukraine United improve to a 3-1-0 WLT record for 9 points and second in the First Division table, while Hamilton City suffered its third defeat for a 1-3-0 record for 3 points and 7 in the standings.
